With a career spanning over 5 decades Victor J. Banis wrote over 200 short stories and books and sparked a revolution, changing the way gay men were depicted in literature. Learn more about this larger-than-life character from his great-niece and executive director of the Victor J. Banis Family Foundation, Maggie Weadick.

Join Maggie as she discusses her uncle and his colorful life and lustrous career; explore his various pseudonyms and writing styles. Hear why he was indicted on Federal charges for “Conspiracy to Distribute Obscene Material” and how, along with Greenleaf Classics publishing, created the Gay Pulp publishing revolution of the 1960s, with the publication of the first gay spy series, The Man from C.A.M.P.
